2012 Fitness Plan

I've always been a fitness fanatic. I was a track star in high school and still enjoy running today! But, seven years ago I decided I needed to add weight training and overall body fitness to my plan. I ordered the P90X program. I thought I was in really good shape at the time...I had no idea how fit I would soon be! I had never lifted weights before, and didn't want to "bulk up." I didn't want to lose weight, I just wanted to get some lean muscle on my frame.

A quick three months later, I had those lean, sexy muscles on my back, toned upper arms and washboard abs that almost gave me the confidence to hit the beach in a bikini! If you're looking for a great fitness program that keeps you motivated, you should seriously consider the P90X BeachBody Program.

I have now moved on to the Insanity and TurboFire programs for added variety and LOVE those workouts, too!
My daily workouts are my little gift to myself each day.  Do something just for you today!

  2. I think thats great that you are so motivated. I find it hard especially in the winter to get off my but, I too was an athlete in my youth and now everything is starting to fail. Keeping fit is the key. Bravo you.

  4. Good for you! I've got my fitness action plan in place for 2012 but have yet to start it with all I've had going on. You're right, we need to set aside time each day to do this!

  7. Wow! That's awesome! I might have to try that along with running. Is there equipment besides the DVDs that you need?

    1. You can buy the push up stands and some big rubber bands, if you're into that sort of thing. I found that I did not need any of the "gadgets" they try to sell with the videos. The biggest part is just putting the DVD in the player and pushing the PLAY button....just push PLAY!!! It's that easy! I started out with 2# weights and now can do up to 15#!!

  8. I bought the DVD. I have never tried it though. I spend money much easier than calories! LOL You go girl!

    1. Start with the Core Synergistics - it's a very basic work out that gets your whole body toned. Once you're comfy with it, move on to Plyo or the kick boxing one. You'll feel GREAT!!!

  9. I don't dare do P90x. Then again, I also found out I don't like Tony nearly as much as the other beach body team. I love Chalene's Turbo Jam and also I like Hip Hop Abs, but some reason Tony made me cranky. LOL! But that's great it helped you get sleaker. I really need to get back to working out, I'm still not in good shape.. although round is a shape!

  12. I've heard P90X is really good. I've lost a lot of weight and feel so much better overall through Kundalini yoga. It's different from most other yogas and is a bit weird at times but I love it and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
